Michael Sher DMD, MS

Meet Michael Sher DMD, MS

The son of a dentist, Dr. Michael Sher grew up in New Jersey. He excelled in his undergraduate studies and was awarded an academic scholarship to attend the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. During his training, Dr. Sher conducted research in the dental field and was invited to speak at national and international conferences to present his findings.

Dr. Sher attended the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School to complete postdoctoral training in the field of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. His training focused on the use of cutting edge tools and techniques to correct smiles for people of all ages and complexities. Upon completion of his training, Dr. Sher received a certificate in the specialty of Orthodontics, and received a Master’s of Science degree for his research on the use of Cone Beam Computed Tomography (3D) X-Rays in the orthodontic setting.
Dr. Sher began his career in the Detroit suburbs, creating beautiful smiles with braces and Invisalign treatment. Devoted to providing the highest level of patient care, Dr. Sher achieved board certification, a designation only select orthodontists are able to obtain.
Dr. Sher is happily married to his wife, Dr. Deena Sher. They have three beautiful children.

Deena Sher, DMD, MS

Dr. Deena Sher grew up in Toronto, Canada. She followed after her mother and older sister, both of whom are general dentists. She came to the United States to train at the renowned University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

While there, she met and married her husband, Dr Michael Sher. During her training, she received numerous awards and conducted research on cellular healing and diabetes. After obtaining her dental degree, Dr. Sher dedicated an additional year for further training at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. There, she gained experience placing and restoring dental implants, treating head and neck trauma, and managing advanced prosthodontic treatments. She honed these skills practicing as a general dentist in Michigan.
Dr. Sher then pursued her passion for periodontics, completing a three-year residency at the University of Detroit Mercy, and receiving a Masters degree and certificate in Periodontics. She then completed board examinations both in the United States and Canada, making her a Fellow in Periodontics with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry with the American Board of Periodontology. She practiced in Michigan, prior to relocating to Ohio with her family. Doctors Sher has three beautiful children.
Dr. Sher is proud to be a member of the American Board of Periodontology.
